Before getting your back tattooed, you may be wondering what it feels like to have it done. If you are needle shy, it might not be as pleasant a thought as if you know you have a high tolerance to pain. The important thing to remember when getting back tattoos is that it can’t be that bad or so many people wouldn’t be getting them in that area.
Our bodies have built in mechanisms called endorphins to combat the pain associated with back tattoos. Once they kick in, the pain will be faded to almost nothing. It won’t disappear completely, but it does allow you to tolerate it long enough to complete the tattooing process.
Just go with the attitude of grin and bear it. You know there is going to be some element of pain associated with getting back tattoos so just be prepared when you go for it to hurt and you will do fine. However if a back tattoos and the thought of needles in your back make you wince just thinking about it, then you should probably choose a smaller one in a less painful area before attempting to get one the back tattoos.
The memory of the pain will quickly fade as the love for your new back tattoos grows. Don’t let the fear of pain keep you from getting something that will you will love forever.
